What Insurance plans do you accept?
I am not currently a provider for any insurance plans but I will give you a form to submit to get reimbursement for my services as an out of network provider.
Is there a sliding scale?
Yes, a sliding scale will be considered if there is financial necessity.
How often does the client visit and how long does therapy last?
Most clients come on a weekly basis to provide continuity of care and resolve issues as quickly and effectively as possible. Length of therapy depends on the needs and goals of the client. If short term goals are set, treatment is generally briefer. If long term goals are desired, treatment could last significantly longer.
What is your preferred method of treatment?
I'm an eclectic, holistically oriented therapist. This means that I conduct a comprehensive assessment of my client's needs and issues based on their overall environment, psychosocial history and all the factors in their lives that impact them. This differs from the medical model of assessing clients based mostly on their symptoms and psychopathology. I may utilize varying methods of treatment at different times with clients such as insight-oriented therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive therapy or play therapy.
Do you provide a free consultation?
Yes, a free 15 minute phone consultation is available upon request.
Do you prescribe medication?
No, but I will make a recommendation to obtain a psychiatric consultation when necessary and facilitate a referral to a psychiatrist who can prescribe.
